Rusty chain

Following on from my Rust thread, I just noticed that my chain has started to rust, I was out on the beach last Friday and it had a good rinse down when I got home and a quick squirt of WD40 as the last of my chain oil had gone in the chainsaw

Anyway it has started to rust, does anyone have any good tips for removing surface rust before I clean or should I just clean as normal and give it a coat of chain oil again?

Really it is just a cosmetic thing but I hate rusty chains

Soak it in diesel and brush with someone elses toothbrush
