Rusty subframe

I noticed a bit of rust the other day behind the zorst mounting bolt so I took it in to the dealer today. The rust is all around the mounting bracket and some spots are visible behind the subframe main spars. It's going in next week for them to have a look at it (and fix the rattly screen).
Has anyone had this rust problem? Does the dealer do a proper fix or should I expect a quick bodge?
10,000 miles BTW.

Changing the subject, I'm getting Anakees fitted, Any opinions on these?

I had a tiny bit of rust on the rear subframe, where the top box mount bolts to the frame. This was fixed under warranty, by the complete replacement of the rear subframe so I don't think my rush problem was bodged.

Found rust on my subframe when I jet washed the bike. It blew all the paint off the area that was rusting (only light spots). Bike was out of warranty so a emery paper and a can of smooth Hamerite was my bodge job.


You dont need a subframe anyway. a propper GSer never sits but stands on the pegs all the time.

Not even at the limping stage yet.

Took the bike in today for this, they are going to fit the tyres, fix the screen and take photos of the rusty subframe to sent to Bracknell.
Which is nice!

New subframe on its way, should be fitted next week.
