S10 2015 Broken

You could always look in the owners manual to see what the maximum current drain on the aux sockets is. Mine says 5A which would not stand a compressor being plugged into it.

Ride year round if I fancy a spin.

Tend to avoid really freezing weather, but salt hangs around on the roads for weeks after the frost so will rinse the bike after a ride when salt is on the roads. Also use ACF-50 liberally applied by the compressor about 3 times a year.

Apart from the well known tarnishing of the spokes mine is looking pretty mint at 20k, only other area of concern is the OE end can, harder to protect as any ACF (or similar) coating you apply will just burn off right away leaving the thinly painted metal to fend for itself.

Looks like they fare pretty well then.....I'll use plenty of ACF 50 and try to stop being so OCD about cleaning :D

I'm lucky as the comute is only 28 miles 3 times a week......trouble is it is always been easier to jump in the car when the weather's crap....no option now :)

You got a new job ?

Retired from the police March 2012 :thumb2

Worked since then as a police staff member-dealing with stolen/siezed property (property officer is the official title) and I job share ...a long weekend every weekend :friday

It sounds like I made the right decision to buy a more reliable jap bike to compliment the Guzzi.

The Guzzi let me down on both of my last 2 big trips. In Belgium this year a headlamp bulb blew and in Scotland last year a fuse blew to the starter motor.

The Honda so far as been completely reliable having blown nothing........ except for a few cars :P

I bought the S10 for the same reason.

Not that my Guzzi has let me down severely. I had headlight bulb go when touring France and the main fuse went when touring Scotland but they are parts that I carry as spares.

The Guzzi is now my sunny weekend toy and the Yam is my touring machine.

I was being ironic Davie ...... My Italian Stallion blowing a bulb and a fuse hardly makes it live up to the 'unreliable' moniker they often get given when compared to Jap bikes.
The Guzzi will probably get sold in the spring as I haven't ridden it once since buying the Crosstourer for its extra comfort and mile munching ability. Shame for it to sit unused and although I may use it next year I doubt it would get more than a couple of outings......
