SAE to male USB connector or cable

Thanks all for the useful info. Now I look at the double usb socket, it doesn't look to be original.
I shall leave it in place as it's handy for keeping the phone charged, and have sent away for a flush SAE socket which I will wire direct to the battery.

So if the ZFE ‘listens’ for the correct signal, and only ‘opens’ when it hears it . Then the system is involved in the charging. There may be no signalling from the system, but it’s still involved.
Assuming that the "it's" you are referring to is the CAN-bus then you are incorrect. The ZFE has no need to communicate with anything else on the CAN-bus to open the port. There are no CAN messages necessary. The CAN-bus is not involved.

Even Optimate admits that its usage of "CAN-bus" is incorrect. There is is an exchange in the comments on a Optiamte video on YouTube to this effect.

I went for a Fuzeblock.

Lovely device. You can choose ignition switched or direct feed.

I’ve got separate connectors for Optimate charger, Keis hot vest and air compressor.

He’s been a boon.
