Does anyone know how i can cache/backup my Favourites onto a disc or another HDD? Got loads of folders, sub-folders and individual web addresses stored in IE (mostly work related - honest) and i'd hate to lose them for some reason. Wouldn't know where to start to rebuild that web-base. Would like to have some 'record' of all the addresses but certainly can't be a*sed to write them all down.

Hoping that i've missed some really obvious function on the drop-down menus,

Cheers

What OS are you using???

If its XP, just doing a file and settings backup will do what you're after AND save all your Email settings etc etc........

Thanks for reminding me actually...haven't done a backup meself for a month or two.:beerjug:

PS on any OS, as long as its IE6 (probably earlier versions too but i cant remember TBH) click on File, then import/export and then you can save them :)

File/Import and Export....Export Favorites - creates a "BookMark.htm" file (by default) - you can then copy this wherever.

After reinstall of the O/S you can "Import" that file.

Export

OS is WinXP Pro. Thanks for the info. I did wonder about import/export but couldn't see anything on help menu to explain it sufficiently.

Thanks all,
