Hi,I need a new tablet as mine has given up...There a so many to choose from.Would prefer another Samsung.I use it for emails and watching Youtube and internet. and also don't need a massive memory.

Replaced my old Samsung tablet for a Kindle Fire, good spec, good speed and decent quality.

I'm using a Tab S2 but I think they are up to S5 or 6 now. Buy the highest spec you can within your budget and you will enjoy much more longevity.

I've just bought the Galaxy Tab A 10.1 to replace an earlier Samsung 9.5". It cost less than £190 but seems top quality - good screen, metal back, 32GB memory expandable with a micro SD etc. The only thing I don't much like are the icons styles that Samsung use. I'm not sure if this is part of Samsung's re-skin of plain Android 10 or if it is part of Android. They're just a bit too infantile for my taste but don't detract from the functionality.
I'm not convinced that its worth paying out for a top of the range tab: I bought an expensive Samsung S a few years back and by the time it was 3 years old it was slow, glitchy and no longer being supported. Next time round I bought a cheap Samsung 9.5" as a last minute purchase at Heathrow as i'd forgotten to pack my Tab S before heading on hols. The cheap one has been fine for about 3 years but only has 8GB of memory - not really enough as many apps can't be transferred onto the micro SD. The Galaxy 10.1 device is a sort of mid point but I expect it will probably have to be replaced after 3 years or so.

Did you try installing as sd card?
No pal.If I did does that mean I could update all the updates ? It might work better if I could update everything
if you are looking for a new one, have a look at the Huawei Media pad T5. Cheaper than the samsung and very similar spec. Theres also a T3 and tehres discounts/offers at the official site

I think you'll find that Android updates have to go in system memory and into the firmware. All apps seem to load first into system memory, and only then can some of them be transferred to SD. A lot of apps don't even give the option of storing data on SD.
Check if Huawei still has a relationship with Google, because if it doesn't, then it won't get Android updates. I know there are certain Chinese companies that can no longer get Android updates. Samsung is of course Korean and has no issues on this front.

Put a 32gb sd card in and nothing has happened.Showing the sd card is in.What should i be doing next ?
If you go into the options menu of he tablet and look up the card does it ask you to [or is there an option to] format it?

Managed to update everything onto storage on tablet as I removed a lot of stuff that I dont need.So when storage is full on tablet from updates does it go onto the sd card ?
