sand blasting rear rack

Hi lads
I sent the rear rack off to get blasted and repainted, but the guy doing the blasting is having a problem getting the factory primer coat off.
Has anyone else come across this problem ?

Yep. It's tough powder coating and needs to be removed in an acid bath. NB Coatings in Pontefract did mine.

I used nitromors paint stripper on my engine front cover. It takes a few applications - as noted above its tough (but its ironic that road salt and time seems to remove it just fine...)

The guy doing the blasting told me he was waiting on a fresh supply of acid, so fingers crossed.
