You ask for any advice.
I would humbly suggest getting the bike sent via http://www.overlanders.ie/ to Bilbao and flying to meet it. By the time you pay for ferries, peage, half a back tyre etc, its cheaper. And more importantly, you add 4 days to your holiday in that you are starting and finishing from where you wish to be. Book the flight well in advance. Drop & pick up the bike in Gorey.

Did it from Dublin in Sept and it took 3 days to get to Santander with 2 ferries, and over night accommodation in the UK. While it was a nice run and the ferry is very comfortable - I would have preferred the extra days. Sent the bike back via overlanders.ie - just hopped on a plane and was back in Dublin in a few hours. Collected the bike ten days later.
