Anyone fancy taking the nice route to the Hugmoist????

I'm thinking of a start at the Plough Eynsford mid afternoon on Friday, then along the A25 to Guildford, up a bit, wiggle a bit and dodge and dive through the lanes to Andover....no fords, no offroad but a nice chilled ride avoiding Friday night M25/M3 traffic.

Anyone fancy it????

Two incompatible statements there, Guildford is a major bottleneck Plus i've been given a hospital appointment for 3:45 on Friday afternoon so I'll see you about midnight.

I was gonna dodge around Guildford through Shalford and Compton akkshully...that was just a general description

Too early for the Eurotrash I'm afraid - we don't hit Dover till about 5pm so we should be in Andover by about 6pm then I reckon

How bad is it likely to be - I guess we'll be up around the M20 - M25 heading for the M3 - A303 bit by 6 or 6.30pm Are we going to be filtering for miles and miles ???? Can't get away earlier this year coz of work so a cross country tour isn't gonna be possible

You'll be fine from Dover up to the M25 Marc but from there on you may have problems.

Going West bound around the bottom may not be too bad.....the bulk of the traffic on the southern section is usually the other way, but as soon as you get round towards j9-10, it'll get worse and the M3 section and down to the A303 could be quite bad.......it's summer and on a Friday night you'll get loads of people heading west

It's all variable though...one little knock can obviously seize it all up.

In general the M25 south section isn't as bad as the north though and it's nice and wide for filtering

Was going to turn up late fri night but don't rate my chances on getting it erect in the dark
