Just a question about the 'fit' of the Sargent seat on a 06 GSA...

My good lady bought me a Sargent seat for my 06 GSA for Christmas :D

My question is....when on the current seetings..low front, high rear...there is a large-ish gap at the back of the front seat where it meets the rear seat....is this normal???

I believe there is a GS and a GSA version of the seat, and was just wondering if I had the wrong one?

As I didn't actually order the seat, or have anything to do with making sure it was ordered for an 06 GSA the fact it didn't seem to fit snuggly has always worried me.

I have checked the packaging and all seems in order.

Just wondered if this 'gap' was the norm?

I'll try to post some pics soon.

Thanks all :thumb2

as far as im aware they are all the same,go on to nippys site and check that should confirm

They are the same. Mine were fitted to a 'standard' GS before I bought them.

This is a picture of the Sargent (low) on my GSA with the front configuration the same as yours...no gap.

Do you also have a Sargent rear, or are you mixing with the original?

My rear seat is also a Sargent.

...I will try to upload some photos...

Hope this makes it clearer what I'm getting at...

Mine has the gap

Mine also has the gap.
It is fitted on the low setting and I thought it was that or the fact that I have an 08 model and the seat was for the 04-07 model.
You get used to it and don`t realy notice it after a while.
Great seat and looks good too.

Thanks Nick.....can't say that it bothers me...just wasn't sure if my g/f had ordered the right one..or I had been sent the wrong one by Nippy Normans..in which case I would have had it changed.

As you say, it is a great seat....I got the 'regular' seat, not the low version, and was a little worried that it might alter the seat height by 'spreading' the legs wider, and thus making my legs further from the ground (it does this on the Sargent Seat that I have on my Pan European..but is not so much an issue as on the GSA)...but for all you out there contemplating a purchase, and worrying about the same thing.....it has no effect, and the seat height is exactly the same.

And it is brilliant for comfort :thumb2...not tried it on a long trip yet, but initial experiences are good :thumb2

You don't need to have different heights front to back like you do the standard seat as they are a better shape. Try putting it lever low/low or high/high and see how it looks. Its designed to fit level so all the gaps should look more even that way.

I will give that a try Marki....but I'm sure I tried that when I first got it and discovered the problem....and I'm sure it made little difference.

Seat for GS /GSA is the same!
Gap is normal, it can be reduced by altering height of seat at front or rear. I'm using a Sarg set on low front with a standard BM rear with a agp, but so what!:ronno

Yup! Mine has the gap as well.

Blooming good seat though:thumb2

I suppose it should be for the money:eek:
