Tell you what - them there Sargent seats are feckin fantastic !
Wasn't sure about getting one at first. Lets face it I'm Northern and the thought of spending £240 on a seat worried me a little. But Nippy Norman delivered mine on Friday and on Saturday I did a 260 mile jaunt to Wales - visited Nick Sanders gaff, i'm going on his first stage round the world trip to Istanbul and back in September.

Now my backside is a bit of a wuss and usually after about 80 miles it starts to ache. Not this time !! 260 miles and still as comfy. It was like it was being caressed by a trio of buxom blonde beauties the whole way there and back. I imagine !

Just thought I'd let you know.

Got mine on Friday and on the run in to work this morning it felt very good. Wider than the original and the foam feels much more supportive.

are they waterproof?

Don't really know to be honest. I would have assumed so, as its a motorcycle seat. I went out on it on Tuesday in the pouring rain so I'll have a look tonight to see if its still damp

Must get one:D Mind you, then I will no longer be able to stand on the footpegs while me missus massages me butt. You should see the looks of hilarity and disbelief by onlookers when this happens:D

FS - yes they are waterproof. There is a waterproof membrane fitted between the outer cover and the foam.

Great seat and it gets better the more you pile the miles on. Must admit that I naively thought that is was the seat that so good and not a trio of buxom blondes - so I'll just have to into the garage and have a sit on it - NOW! Bye!!

If only Reggie wasn't away in Scotland, I'm sure he could provide some pictures of 3 buxom lasses massaging a numb butt on a GS!

Have you got a web link for the sargeant seat providers?
I just tried a butt pad from alaskaleather.com which is lovely but I think I need a different shape seat rather than a fluffy one before tackling 5,000 miles round the Baltic in June!

I hope you're going to post a good ride report of that:beerjug:

I was rather nervous of sopeniding more than £200 on a seat but after some 4,000 miles mostly long, single hit journeys I can heartily reccomend them.

I'm doing 1,000 miles around Scotland next Thursday (so long as its not pissing down) and I wouldn't consider it without a confy seat.

Oh I am so looking forward to this trip.

13 countries over 20 odd days. approx 400 miles per day.
Its the first stage of a round the world tour. This year London to Istanbul, next year India, year after Malasia, year after entire coast of Australia, year after America. All part of Nick Sanders Motochallange. Spaces available I think for any of you all who maybe interested.

Expect a few pics.:D :D
