Hi

Does anyone know whether the battery unit within the scala rider can be replaced?

A friend has a unit that no longer holds a charge, it is one of a paired set so it would be expensive to replace them. I realize that the battery is contained, and probably soldered behind what appears to be the 'water resistant' cover that appears to be firmly stuck down. I just wondered if anyone has successfully managed to replace a battery, or recommend anyone who specializes in such electronic repairs?

I contacted Scala re this when I was thinking of ordering the G4 Teamset. They told me that they would soon have a facility to replace non warranty batteries which had reached the end of their shelflife. Maybe worth cotacting them.

Thank you for contacting the Cardo Systems Support Center. The battery cannot be repaired or replaced at this time, you will need to purchase a new Scala Rider headset as a replacement at this time. Please feel free to contact us if we can assist you with any other questions. Best Regards, Robert Wargo Customer Service www.cardosystems.com
