I'm thinking about one of these but would appreciate the views of those who already have one.

In particular, does the visor stays open if raised when riding? I had a C2 a while back, and the visor on that had the annoying habit of self closing once over about 20mph - it simply would not stay open at road speeds. Comments about the effectiveness of the ventilation behind a fairing would also be valued (any K1600GT users' thoughts especially welcome :)).

Finally, if any users have fitted an Autocom system to a C3 Pro, how easy was it to do this, and where did you route the lead out of the helmet?

My visor used to slam shut at low speeds and I hated it, however they released some different ratchets and for less than £5 they fixed it, ventilation on the GSA is non existent with the screen up high.

I had a C2 and loved it. I don't find the C3 fits well though. I'm kind of between sizes

My C3 visor closes but at more like 40 to 50mph certainly not as low as 20. Regarding ventilation it was quite good but I've recently fitted a tall screen and reading this thread has explained to me why on ride at the weekend I spent a great deal of time trying to work out why it no longer didn't ventilate. Ha! Ha!
I have to say though I really like the helmet first flip front I've had.

Just got one - no problems with the visor coming down.

Main problem is it's such a snug fit I can't comfortably wear sun gigs due to the pressure of the arms on my bonce.

I don't like riding without eye protection so its sun-visor down or screen down.

I've re-used my Cardo Scala Q2 comms, but had to stick it as opposed to mechanical fixing. I must say the sound is much improved with the speakers being well located. I now have to turn the volume down!

I ride a K1600GTL.

How is the ventilation behind that screen?

My last helmet was an Arai Tour X which I always rode visor open with specs. I never really noticed the ventilation.

With the C3 Pro I have noticed a difference of cooling within the lid, albeit I have not properly played around with the settings of the vents. Suffice to say on the basis you can shut the vent off it should work well.

Thanks for that - if there is a difference between vents open and closed the C3 Pro ventilation may be ok behind a big screen.

self closing visor !!!!! think the importer is talking bollocks, prior to my mod the visor on my c3 slammed shut at low speeds on my gs/gsa BUT stayed resolutely open on my gsx1100 kat to much much higher speeds.
