Has anyone on the forum tried on or bought a new C3 yet and if so what are they like. Unfortunately the concept and c2 did not fit me due to the chin bar design and I am now at the end of my tether re my (replacement) System 5's misting , leaking and quality problems. IMHO the older system 4 was better
Tried in Munich a couple of weeks ago but they had no stocks in , so has anyone on here tried one .

Custom Lids in newcastle now have small numbers of C3's in stock but only in plain colours and in medium or large.
Unfortunately not in my size, they seem to be a very well screwed together bit of kit, plus for a flip front they are very light and best of all is the price (they are giving a 10% discount on them) with the gloss and matt black ones coming in at just under £380.

Schuberth C3 Helmet

just ordered one will let you know, bought from sound distribution ebay site in silver for £360 as an offer

200 miles with a c3

ok its different than my old viper 121 and carberg, went for the large as size 58-9 not a snug fit but the med was too small.
first impressions
light yes
quiet yes for a flip
pinlock ok but dosent work with the sunvisor
in fact there is a lot of misting around the lid with it but as it s cacooned in the lid thats to be expected but all the vents work well anyway
Its a very good lid will be putting comms in tonight so will let you know if any good
For £360 its a good lid top of the range flip lid yes better than the other flips yes just on the noise levels i have paid £400 for Arai lids that arnt half as good as this so it is worth the xtra cash :thumb

city position

i guess u mean where its open a little im not sure about the c2 but this one locks when closed and i have used with the visor open a little and stays there fine but im riding a gsa so hs a good screen anyway will try tomorrow

sun visor

as there is no pinlock on sun visor it mists up with visor down dafe i know but its still sunny sometimes even when its cooler

Bought one in Munich past week - love it. Have used C2 prior - the new one is much better. Shortly tested it during Enduro Training in Hechlingen - great helmet. Pinlock rocks! Sunshade has now continious regulation and it could be operated without taking the left hand from the bar. And the helmet is lighter. I think there is no city position of the visor any more.

Cool, might give one a go then:thumb2 And they're making it with different shell sizes which is a bonus for pin heads:D

Custom Lids have just got a new delivery with larger sizes and for me at least the size 60 is a perfect fit ( as per my
S1), ergonomics of the lid are good and feels right from the off. Only problem is I blew the money I had saved for one last week on a digital SLR so I'll have to wait a couple of months to save up but one will be replacing my System 5 asap.

Hi, bought one at the bmf tail end, first impressions are, light, sun visor good, well thought out, but it is NOT as quiet as claimed, I rode with my race arai there, rode home with c3 on and for me there was no difference.
Also the top vent when you open it rattles so you get a feeling there is a woodpecker landed on yer helmet and is serious peck mode.
Would I buy another, prob not.
Wait for the new multitec with sunvisor would be my thoughts for anyone thinking of buying a C3. Cheers.
