Hi all,

After a bit of advice on the Schuberth C2 bash hat, if anyone could help.

Been after a new helmet for a while and so thought I'd treat myself for xmas and fancied a flip up one.
The C2 seems to be the one to go for so off I went to try some on at my local bike shop. Got a small or 'pea' type head so started with the medium which was too large, tried a small and super, that's the one - How much I ask - 375 - Bit steep I think.
Take a look on the 'tinternet when I get home and C2 for 275 - Knew I'd seen them cheaper.
Helmet comes and it's feels too small, did I get the sizing wrong? Pop back to the bike shop and try again - The small feels tight but fit's perfectly over me bonce.
Try mine on and the fit seems completly different, tight at the font and back :(

Anyone with a C2 had the same problem? Do these helmets need to be 'broken' in (Maybe the one if the shop was not 'as new') or can the build vary so much?

Any help/advise much appreciated.

I just had the same problem and lost £75 ....

Dallas, I tried the C2 at the NEC and tried a 58/59 thinking that would be fine. Seemed OK at the show anyways. 2 weeks later out for a few hours and a splitting headache after an hour. Have a break and then same headache after an hour. Went on ebay and some lucky bugger snapped it up within a few hrs for £200. I paid £275 a month before. Least I recouped some of the money.

Searching afterwards I see some people have had to go up a size on the C2. I'll have to do at least that. Only wore it for a few painful hrs, but thought it was a great lid. I'll get some before the summer.

I bought a C2 Concept that fit like a glove in the dealers. A couple of months later after it had bed-in to my swede, it was unwearable for me. It slackened enough th be a serious paid rattling round on me heed! Moved it on on ebay, pity but no good for me.

Treated meself to another one, but 58-59cm this weekend, tight on the head, but even after a couple of uncomfortable hours, it is now strating to feel more like it!

Percy Veerance should be the rule here perhaps?

Thanks for the info, seems like the C2 does 'give' a bit then and maybe the shop one has worn in - hence the fit. Just seems like a lot of dosh and it looks as though it's gonna be 'all or nothing' - I guess I'll just have to wear it and put a hat on to hide the red indentation on my spam!

Take a stanley to the ridge at the front. I've had to skim a bit off every helmet I've ever had, especially my System 4.

Not had a C2, but am on my second C1. Both felt quite tight to start with, but after a couple of weeks they bedded in fine. Only got the second C1 because the first was four years old and had 'given' enough to rattle around. :thumb

I had to go up a size for my C2, now happily swapped for a Shoei XR-1000 :)

Wife and I just tried on C2's after several years in our C1's and a couple of decades in an array or BMW Sys1, sys2, sys3, sys4 etc

For the first time both of us had to go up a size - ain't bought 'em yet and now, based on all this, am wondering whether we should go back down to same size and compress the upholstry a bit...but she wore the "usual" size in the shop for about five minutes and said her ears were ringing...

Ohhh, what to do?
