Hi I tried a Schuberth J1 Helmet on today and found I liked it other than the cheek pads seem stiff and hard plasticky stuff compared to the Aria RAMIII I wear. Thought about a change also the lack of a double D ring fastener?

Are they OK to put ear speakers in for my headset too?

Has anyone got any experiance with the J1 good or Bad?

Also where is the best place to go try em and buy em I have seen £293.00 as best price so far?

Ta Big D:)

Had mine for the past 2 or 3 years and I like it. Great visibility (obviously), placcy chin bar might do something in a crash, vents work well. Flip down sun visr is crap though.

Love mine. I'm not sure how well the chin bar would stand up to an impact, but psychologically it helps me. Haven't got the autocom fitted as yet, but there seems to be more room than in my C2 so it should fit ok.

I've worn mine since May 08 & get on fine with it. Clip fastening is very snug, as it has a loop from around base of helmet attached to stop it getting pulled over the head unfastened.

It's velcro chin strap protector pieces are a flipping pain for me, seem to get velcro'd to all manner of flappy bits on me jackets!!

My biggest issue isn't the too-short-by-a-centimetre sun visor, it's the anti-mist coating on the inside of the clear visor. For some reason, mine is coming away like dead skin & seems to produce a 'halo' from oncoming lights at night.

The jolly nice lady in the shop explained to me that I shouldn't use water to clean it. So, what does your breath contain (right, don't answer that one..)

Snug fitting, quality build & a nice compromise between full, flip front & open (for which I'd really like a Davida sexy job, but need me eyes!)

Any use to you?
