Guys
I've got a Schuberth S2 lid and want to go bluetooth. The question is, do I go for the S2 SRC bluetooth collar, which is expensive at £220 (cheapest price I can find) or fit an Interphone F5MC or similar ?

I want to be able to pair to my phone, listen to FM radio, use bike-to-pillion and my pillion won't have Schuberth kit.

I don't want anything that conflicts with the sun visor lever on the left hand side of the lid.

Anyone got any reviews of the S2 SRC unit ? Can't seem to find any.

Cheers
John

Hi John , the SRC neck roll thing is fab heh? German quality . Nicely integrated, buttons that are designed for gloves . Cleverly marketed.

It's absolute pants and I get cross every time I look at mine ! £260 wasted!!

I say that because if you get one all your buddies will "pair" their BT devices and chat away easily.
You , will be excluded !! It's incompatible with everyone else !

Now , if you just want to put to a similarly equipped pillion , or perhaps just want to link to your iPhone or Garmin Nav it's fine ....... Just don't expect to be able to pair to others! Maddening ! Grrrr !

Basically the coller is a Cardo g9 so it would be cheaper to go with the Cardo packtalk from fc moto @£180 odd then you can change your lid when you like and take the set with you

Thanks Guys I'll give the SRC collar a miss ! The Sena seems to have good reviews but so does the Interphone F4 and F5. I'll see what deals are out there.

Don't pass up the option of the Cardo packtalk if to ride with a few guys then you can link up to all at the same time

It's absolute pants

I think we need some balance here! :D

I have been using an SRC collar for a couple of years and it works just fine. Admittedly I don't use it for bike-to-bike cus I don't have any friends!:tears

However, in all other respects it has been great. It fits very tightly around the neck so noise is kept to a minimum. Never had a problem with the buttons and gloves. Radio works great with the extended antena in the helmet shell and battery life and pairing are simples!:thumb2

I'll add my 2p worth. I've had a SRC fitted to C3 for the last 3 years and it's worked fine, no problems linking bike to bike with Cardo G4 headsets. Use it for music, phone calls, bike to bike and linked to a Garmin 390 without problem. Music either via Bluetooth or wired connection. Only downside is that it can only be fitted to a C3 but as I like the C3 that's not an issue.

Everyone's entitled to their opinion.:D

Mine does exactly what it says on the box and has been faultless.:thumb
