A Bluetooth challenge

Does anyone know if it possible to connect SRC to Garmin 660 & iPhone 4s for music.

I can't see how I can listen to music if I simply pair phone to satnav & then satnav to SRC.

I can pair either but not both of them.

Has anyone beaten this problem.

I'm not that interested in making phone calls on the move.

Thanks

Music on the 660

Easiest way is to convert your music to MP3 and put it on your 660. That way play and control through the 660 and just leave the phone in pocket. Then you can still answer calls through the 660 and the music resumes when finished.

I've tried to pair a couple of Phones to my SRC and stream music and at best it's flakey. Usually pairs ok, music plays then sometime later, could be 10 minutes or 2 hours the connection drops which means having to pull over to sort it out. Sorting could mean doing any or all of the following, reboot phone, reboot SRC, repair device. I have found that older none 'smart' phones keep a slightly more stable connection.

Because of this I now just use the hardwire connection between the SRC and the music player, sometimes a phone but more often now just a small iPod, never have any problems doing it this way music plays all day. Only down side is having to unplug the music player to take the helmet off.

Funny thing is despite not playing music via Bluetooth, I still pair the phone to the SRC for calls and that is always fine, the phone connection never gives a problem. I have sometimes experienced the phone playing music via Bluetooth which over rides the iPod & I haven't realised until I stop and unplug the iPod and find the music is still playing away inside my lid.

That's what I did. 32gb mini memory thingy filled with music and the phone kept seperate. No point doing through the phone as it only drains the battery.
