for those who wanted to know, enclosed pics of new can all i can say after 200 miles is everyone should have one its about half the weight i guess and the noise with the baffles is brilliant so god know what it would be like without i also have k&n filter and the ride now and power delivery is much smoother and top end is up.

just got back from Abersoch the difference in the standard can and the scorpion is amazing why dont they have this as an option for this bike, oh and no difference in mpg either still averaging 55+ brilliant

Hey Finn, that can looks really special, an individual touch! But think your mpg a bit low...?...mine's an '01 and averages 70 - 75.
Would be interesting to see if the new can does make any difference over a long run?

99% of my riding is on country roads spanking 3-4-5 gear between 50 and 80 so i do ride it hard however if i ride sensibly i am sure i would get more but I DONT WANT TO!!!!!

currently on 182 miles before light on so as tnac esu puter or calcs whats the mpg oh and light not on yet?

ok light on at 202 miles book says tank 5.28 gal and reserve on at .9 gal therefore 202/4.38=46.11 per gal however 3.28 litre=1 gal but to fill up only takes 12.96 litre (3.94 gal) so either i get 51mpg ish or light on too soon or book wrong etc etc

either way can and k&n are worth it and better than old mille i had which got 32 average mpg

Last time i looked there wae 4.546 Lts in a UK Gallon so 12.96 Lts = 2.85 Gal

So at 202 miles thats 70.87 mpg

total capicity 17.3 litres (5.28 imp gal) as that is 3.27l p g this is wrong as imperial gal is uk which is 4.546
uk tank is only 3.8 gal so to light 202/3.8-.9=69.65pg
