I had a touring pack fitted on mine. It fitted behind the number plate - sandwiched as it were between the plate and mounting bracket. It vibrated like mad but worked fine and looked discreet.
I had mine exposed, attached to the frame on the right hand side by the suspension adjuster knob. It made it easier to check, refill and alter and actually looked OK, it also meant that it worked better as it was at a good angle.
Hold it in place there and see what you think, you might change your mind
