Took me 90 minutes to fit . Bit fiddly and I dropped a bloody nut behind the belly pan twice !!

Bit throatier and should run quite a bit cooler.

Re-uses all original covers etc

That looks really nice, is that what you swapped for your 790 ??

Yup !

How do you rate it - they do look gorgeous in the flesh

Not done that many miles on it but I really like it so far.
The motor is lovely.Very very smooth but makes nice power. The fuelling isn’t 100% perfect down low but not far off. I’m hoping the decat will make it even better though I have seen a plug and play sensor that supposedly really sorts it.

The bike does fell very together and the best bit is the suspension. The Showa front/Ohlins rear is utterly fantastic.Like a magic carpet ride.

General finish of the bike is excellent and the dash is very clever.Heated grips works well.Clever indicators that will flash 3 times then cancel on a momentary press or stay on till cancelled on a longer press.

Sounds great withy the Arrows. Not that loud but a lovely burble.

Just needs a quickshifter.Looking forward to taking to Brittany in the new year.

I’ve been offered a deal on one - needs to be December purchase....arhhhhhhhgh

Riders offering £1,000 off RRP as well at the mo..

Does that mean the Frankensporter might be needing a new home :augie

You want that, freebies, service plan at reduced cost (if they do it) and the rest of it. Sounds like they need a sale to meet December target.
When I was shopping last year, bmw dealer was happy to do the deal because they were 2 bikes away from reaching target. Sales Manager bought one himself and if I was to buy one, then they would’ve secured better trade prices for new season.
At least that what he told me.

It is your opportunity to score big. Next attempt will be March and I doubt they will be so desperate to let one go reluctantly.

Been out for a few hours on the Scram.
The decat pipe certainly seems to make a difference.
It certainly seems to pull a bit cleaner from low revs, definitely sounds a bit throatier and runs cooler.

Cracking bike so far.

Really enjoyed the test ride today, Scrambler is significantly more comfortable to ride than my Urban. The riding position is better, more upright with less weight on the bars and more room for the legs and as has already been said the suspension is better. Even though I’ve replaced my rear shock with a Wilbers unit it felt better on the Scrambler. However the Urban has significantly more grunt and would leave the Scrambler for dust. Although I think the XE would be much better on the loose stuff...
Not sure I’m ready to get rid of both my BMs for one and unsure how the scrambler would be over long distances or what the options are for panniers etc. If I wanted to do another trip on the bike with all the camping gear I suspect the GS will always be a better choice but I’d be interested to see the options for the scrambler...I’m also not sure what it would be like 2 up...?

Thanks for posting that Martin, makes it an even better option. I’d also be interested to see what soft luggage options are available for it..

Mosko Moto seems popular for soft luggage
