Hi All,

I'm trying to work out the best way to fit my Klicktronic shifter to the Scrambler. There are really only two options, 1) come off the two bolts that hold the footpeg hanger or 2) use the engine bolts and make a bracket to fit the bottom three, to hang the shifter off. I think option 2 is the better solution, so my heal doesn't interfere with the shifter and i can still easily get to the side stand (which i have to reach down and open by hand). ITs going to be slightly higher than the bottom frame rail, under the engine so i dont think it will be vulnerable there either.

So the question is, does anyone know what the thread size / pitch and length is of the engine bolts ? Ive attached a picture showing the three in questions. I'd like to get some longer ones. I suppose the length isn't that important as i can just buy oversize and cut to suit.

Any help much appreciated !

For reference, these are the two positions.

Another option may be to purchase the Free Spirits engine protection and use that instead? Might have to extend the shifter rod though, as the shifter would be further forwards. Basically the same idea as I've got though.

Thats great thank you. 1.0 pitch is a standard thread isn't it? In which case i ordered a few M6 x 60 button head SS Allen bolts on Saturday which should do the trick.

Had a go at this today. I think its going to work well, although haven't done a road test yet. It works on the bike lift. I came off two of the engine case bolts in the end and got the kliktronic up as high out the way as possible. Will road test this and if it all works ok, i'll remake it nicely and paint it all black.
