Where did the back rest pad come from? Bmw? I'm after one for the GSA alley back box. The bmw one is a foam pad and costs £60. That one on the varios looks better.

The backrest kit on one box I got one from the for sale section here and the other from ebay, think it was about £34. The small bag/back rest is here. I sell em http://ukgser.com/forums/showthread.php?t=317795

I've not seen a product like this in the flesh, so to speak so dose anybody know if this type of product could be used to be used cover body panels like the beak etc?

Yes m8 it will stick to just about anything if you heat it up first

Link is to the place I got the vinyl from, but as you say loads on ebay. The best is made by 3M & black 3D Carbon is only type I could find. and used on side panels.

Used this one for the silver as had good feedback and can get a small amount to try. To be honest almost any one of the UK suppliers will be stocking the same stuff. Warm kitchen, hairdrier and lots of patience and by the time I had done the second lid and side panels very pleased with the results. Got to be worth a £10 for enough to do 2 boxes, give it a go.
