My TomTom V1 seems to be working ok except when you touch the screen the cursor appears to the left and up from the point of contact, making it impossible to use, ie: it won't obey my commands.
Is there a fix? Is there a repair option? I have tried reset to no avail.

Fixed a similar problem myself

Just had a similar fault on my 5 year old Rider unit. It kept going to the route summary screen during navigating in the car cradle, when pressing the bottom right on-screen button it wouldn't go back to navigating view. Then when reset/rebooted I couldn't get the 'continue' on-screen button to work, it would darken when pressed but not work. The unit remained stuck on the owner details screen.

I tried connecting to PC to update, no joy. I ended up taking it to pieces and found the touch screen digitiser ribbon cable in the bottom right corner was crimped up tight inside the case. After manipulating the ribbon cable and rebuilding the unit it works fine again, saving me from shelling out £390 on a Zumo 660.

Hope this helps someone with a similar problem.
