I have 2 new screens to try... How the hell do you get the plastic bungs out of the oem screen to re use them on the new screen?

And, my NN hugger has arrived, but I can not see a way to get at the rear hex head(brake line cover one) that is mostly obscured by the tyre.... I have never taken the rear wheel off and I am concerned about torquing it up correctly, so if I can do it without removing the wheel it would be good!

TIA...

SLM told me that they just pull of...I didn't want to break them.. They did come off easily and now I have a touring Puig screen to try out..:) Hopefully that will work for me.....if so I then have a brand new NN screen for sale...:blast

I would like to work around taking the wheel off if poss! I don't have a torx to fit...do you know what size it is...Sorry, I do not have a manual yet...

See, I told you you would work it out.

Torx (T50) bit freely available in Halfrauds.

While you are there, buy all the other bits you need to complete the USD 40 Tool kit in the same thread. Money well spent and will give you all the tools you will ever need.

Take the wheel off... Learn how to do it.... and do the hugger fitting properly.

Cheers Wapping...
That link was brill......I will use it before I ask daft Q's....well maybe!;)

What did you mean do the fitting properly? I had planned to follow the NN instructions, they seem simple enough??

No problem.

Fitting properly?

As per the instructions, using the right tools, no dodgy workarounds (as you are missing a T50).

I agree, no dodgy workarounds.. My mate has a T 50 and a decent torque wrench that i can use... and I will get a T 50, but Halfords didn't have it today....

Buy yourself a decent torque wrench while you are there. Check the scale, too. From memory, the rear wheel is 60Nm.

Your memory is correct...60nm or 44 ft lbs....
I have a torque wrench, just not sure it is any good...

What you trying to say!!!
