i fitted the MRA screen to my adventure great screen seems to be doing the job.
but iv'e had this fool hardy thought of adapting the upper portion of the MRA screen onto my original adventure screen, the contour is bang on. It would mean machining 2 slots into the adventure screen to do this, i have the tools to do the job.If its a flop it leaves me with holes in the original screen.
i'm really tempted to give it a go.
what do you guys think ??

Jon,

interesting thought! It's one which occurred to me a while ago when it became clear that MRA weren't interested in making an 'Adventure version' of their screen. I've got an adapted Top of the Line headlamp guard which means I want to keep my Adv side mounts, but I'd like the flexibility of the adjustment that the MRA offers (I had one on my Pan European) (sorry, Tim).

Another thought I had was to use my old Adv screen (being replaced after my prang) and seeing if there was some way of cutting or adapting it to fit like the MRA.

Let me know how you get on.....

re mra screen graft

following my earlier post re brainstorm of grafting my mra screen to my adventure screen i decided to use velcro to hold all this in place to test it before drilling the holes in the original screen.
VERDICT it dont bloody work back to the drawing board.
