Anyone out there tried the adjustable " windscreen spoiler " for the 1150 from Touratech?

Is it any good?

When I tried one it made the stock screen flex like mad and left 2 massive scratches in it.
Bought an MRA Vario instead.

I fitted one to a Givi tall screen and it worked fine. Made things a bit tall for narrow mountain roads. But great protection on A roads and motorways.

70mph+ with the lid up.

I have since fitted the new MRA vario for the 1100 and 850 so mine is sitting in the shed at the minute

I like it.
Don't think that it offers any more protection that the Givi with spoiler but the air flow is smoother therefore quieter.
It took no time to fit but it takes a bit of getting used too watching the top screen flatten slightly at high speed.
It also looks the part but that isn't the major consideration now is it.

spoiler

I fitted one for a trip up to yorkshire, i was only going to use it for long trip's but found it so good i leave it on all the time,
I am 5' 11'', seat in high position, screen in middle position with spoiler fully forward, i find that i can ride at 65-70 with my visor up and out of the wind,
it is not perfect becouse you still get the air come around the side and buffet you, but a good comprimise.
The other thing which anoyed me was the strap fittment, so once i decided i liked it, i withmoved the strap and "carefully" drilled through the mount's and the screen and pinned the spoiler with two rivitt pin's, can supply photo if required.

Wos an MRA Vario look like then???

I'm 5'11" seat in high position, and the best I have found so far (from a buffeting point of view) is to remove the screen completely. Haven't ridden in the rain yet though....but it's v.comfortable even up to 3 figures

Go for a Cee Baileys screen - best available by a mile.
