I am trying to fit uncle Les's hid kit to my 1200 ( the 1150 is laughing at me saying serves you right!), but how does one remove the screen?. It has an MRA but the two side fixings the plastic knobs have been loosend but I cannot remove them. There is a small 10 mm nut on the insde of the knob bolt which does not seem to move so what gives?, do the knobs unscrew from their bolts or what, being plastic I don't want to break it. I cant read the !¬!!! manual 'cos it aint arrived yet! so any assistance appreciated.

10 mm spanner and remove those chrome blind nuts on the end of the botl. Then unscrew the bolt completely using the plastic knobs.

Many thanks for that I went back to the front after posting and sorted it saw the sleeves through the body work and all was resolved. The problem was it was all so tight, reckon the plastic knobs had been done up with a pair of grips as it took this to move them. Now all a part bolts corroded so this was half the prob so a clean and a bit of copper slip should improve matters.
