OK guys,HELP!! Fitted new MRA vario screen on Friday, travelled 160 miles Saturday, adjusted it at least half a dozen times, what am I doing wrong??
Wind noise/turbulence etc... it all still there.
Am I expecting too much.....should I go back to the armchair comfort of the RT ???
Advice Please.
Chas.

it is fair to say that not all "solutions" actually work, I have been very tempted to buy a screen but am waiting and doing research as I have learned the expensive way - hugger (chucks shit everywhere) Y piece - (still surges/idle all over the place)

I am giving up as test pilot :(

Chas, take the screen off completely and see if its any better. You might be surprised at the results.

I fitted the Vario screen and its in the mid position for tilt and a little over half way up on the sliders ,I am 5' 10". Went for my first run and found that I was doing 80mph with no buffeting even with my visor open. Have not tried it in high crosswinds yet so it will be interesting to see how it gets on but so far so good.

I'm 6'3", Wunderlich Vario on R1100GS since last week. Set as far forward and on max height and it's much improved over the standard 1100 screen and over the Givi screen which I damaged.
Wind flow is altogether smoother but of course you hear it. It ain't no armchair RT for sure :D

I am 6.0 (just these days) and fitted the MRA Vario a couple of weeks back. I settled for the middle angle position and the lowest position on the sliders. A first trip in strong cross winds and a dual carriageway saw me stop twice to rack up the height to max. I still was not too convinced. Last weekend I did Lancaster to Aberdeen via A6/A7/M90/Perth to Braemar and home to Aberdeen and forgot all about it. Must be a good sign. My lower back hurt a bit tho'. Norman

That Norman - tell him to leave you alone , sneaking up behind you like that and leaving you feeling sore......,:nono

Have to agree with "The Pict". I'm 5'11" and run with no screen-a little bit of wind blast to the chest (not serious) but no real buffeting (from the wind, not you know quiche and stuff). Not sure if it reduces tank range or not though......

I too have removed the screen, much better!

I took the rear screws out of the stock screen and laid it fully back. Not perfect, but better than anything else I've tried. I'm a shortarse 5ft 8ins.
