Can you show me how it should be, then please?
My instructions came with a pic, looking the same as I mounted mine  !

At the moment though, the buffeting and windnoise seems worse than before!

Has anybody a pic of it fitted correctly then please?

:)

Thats the way I fitted mine. Same as the pic on the instructions...

Yes, me too.
It was bugger all use though.
Free one going if anyone wants to pick it up.

Well this is my best setting. Probably crap weather protection, but is buffet free and reasonably quiet up to 100MPH.

Try no screen, you'll be suprised

Just took the screen off completely... No buffeting whatsoever, ok up to 80 mph and livable with, but it dont look right. Tried a Wunderlich with and without tobinators, lip off standard screen and added extension to standard sans lip. 1 week to go to eastern bloc raid, and i still havent got it sorted.... May never

Baz, is that a standard screen without the lip? Bryn

Ok, you may have seen some posts of mine recently regards screens. I've been testing original Std GS, Std GS with lip cut off, the MRA Vario, all with/without Tobinators.

Last Friday I thought I'd got it sorted : MRA Vario without Tobinators. But , yesterday I did a short 75mile ride and arrived home with a thumping headache and very slight blurred vision.

Maybe a wider screen could be the solution (barn-door totally unacceptable though). So, I was thinking of the Adventure screen, what do you all reckon to this? Or is there another wider screen option I haven't yet come across?

Thanks all.

Regards

Tim

I have the MRA set a middle seetng at the pivot and the upper screen about .75cms from the top. I'm a rather wide fat b'stard and just over 6 feet tall and seat on upper setting and it works a treat. This on a stad GS1150 not your ADV model.

Bryn ,its a Skidmarks screen. I bought it off Mark Dilloway this week. I was going to give my screen the chop, but thought Id try this first. Seems to do a reasonable job.

Thanks Baz, just put Wunderlich back on with tobinators for the next stage in the saga.... If no good i'll try original at a similar angle to yours......:) Bryn

Electrically adjustable Tobinators on their way. They'll only weigh 18kg and I've managed to get the design down to using 5 golf-cart motors. You'll need a larger alternator from a Transit though.

Cheers Tobers!

Thanks for the Tobinators!

I have to say I have studied this BB for some time and read many things about your Tobinators but never actually took the plunge.

I have now fitted them and it has transformed the bike and increased my cruising speed( don't know if thats a good thing!).

I now have a bubble of tranquility behind my screen which has stopped a large amount of bufferting! I was begining to suffer with " shaken baby syndrome!".

I haven't really started playing with settings yet and probably won't cos I like the one I've initially set it in.

Thanks again, can't wait to ride to work tomorrow now!
