...is something I want to avoid.

It is pretty clear that the plastic above the battery is the airbox, but "pretty clear" is not enough for me to stick some self-tapping screws through there.

Is it definitely the airbox, or is this the back of the petrol tank? I am going to mount my centech fusebox there, I think.

Hi mate,

I mounted mine, like the photo on motorrad solutions. Didn't seem to have a problem. However I wasn't too sure about the mounting place for the relay. Seemed to me a bit close to an undisclosed sensor. :nenau For this I used double sided "super" sticky tape. :clap

"Dutch" on this site will be able to answer any of your Q's fully.

I have mounted centrech fuse box on plastic (contol) box behind petrol tank. Gently drilled holes and then fed thin screwdriver to see if there was adequate depth without entering delicate electronics. There was. the screws only go in up to approx quarter of inch. Fits a treat with easy acces for wiring to all points. AP switch is just above box using 2 sided tape

Thanks. I had seen that, and assumed it was screwed in, but assumption is the mother of all :censor::censor::censor::censor: ups, and I really, really did not want to drill the first pilot hole and then find a stream of petrol making its way out. I thought it better to risk looking a fool, and ask.

So can you drill into that plastic or is petrol going to come out? put mine there with velcro but the seat keeps knocking it off!! I am definetly missing something (Ok OK) the best place looks like the space where the tools go, but where to put the tools?

Get a Tuareg bag from Gericke......about 8 quid, and it'll strap onto any crossmember or grab handle etc......ideal for tools or a lock or whatever......

Not anymore got a 12 yesterday!! not even my Taureg bag will fit no cross member!!

You'll need a laptop, not a tool kit. Plus the mobile for the BM assist calls :D
