My fork seals are leaking again on my K75S:blast I called James Sherlocks to order the seals and they very helpfully advised me that often the problem is just an accumulation of crap under the dust cover that needs cleaning out and I was advised to try this out first.

Nothing venture - nothing gained. I bought one off ebay for about £5.50, it is only a thin strip of plastic but if it does the job and saves me the cost of a pair of seals and the inconvenience of taking the forks out and doing the job then it could be worth it.

Last night I performed the action as in the video and pumped the forks and so far there appears to be no more oil residue on the legs. Tomorrow will be the acid test when I am out and about riding it doing some instructing. ;)

Anybody else used this?

Yep, over the years I've made them from a piece of photographic film but now carry a couple on trips I made from that annoying thin plastic packaging :beerjug:

Well I used the K75 on a CBT yesterday and I am happy to report that the leaking has stopped so I am well chuffed. ;)
