The other day I unlocked the seat for some reason, then replaced the seat unit and pulled the key out of the lock. Only the key didn't come out of the lock; the lock came out of the bike.

I've looked in the Haynes manual for the bike, and I cannot find anything about what should keep the seat lock in situ.

Anyone else had this problem? Any idea how to fix the lock back in place (other than my current solution -- duct tape)?

Hi neatbyname, yes I had this and I fiddled round with it for ages copious amounts of WD40 all to no avail. So I asked CW motors to look at it when it was in for a service and they seem to have fixed it, sorry I know thats not much help to you but i think its a case of getting the right pin to locate properly.

Mine did the same but as soon as it came out as I pulled the key out, I pushed the key and lock back in and turned it in each direction several times until it settled back and it's not popped out again in more than 12 months. Sorry, not a very specific answer, but it worked for me.
