Anyone know of anybody that does m/cycle seat upholstery in the S/E of the UK? I'm thinking of maybe jazzing up the seat on the GS.

Bum Wraps in Brighton. (Guitarman and Battyman) have just recently had work done.

'Someone' in Andover (ask Bakerman)

There is Melvyn Hunter in Coventry but on personal experience I cannot reccomend the service. Others can though I'm sure.

I was thinking of doing similar (I was going to get the red flash replaced with blue, and then do the tank logos to) and I popped into a normal high street upholsterers....they said they could do it, and had a book of vinyl swathes to pick a colour from.

They didn't seem to think it was anything too unusual, so I guess any upholsterers could do it if you were just after covering rather than re-sculptering .

Saved me a reply. :) Oh, I have now anyway, haven't I? :D He really did a nice job and used nice vinyl on my seat too. If you work in London you're welcome to have a look at my bike and check out his work.

FWIW, he was recommended to me by a photographer who does work for people like streetfighters mag, so he has seen some quality work done by this guy.

Thanks Snooky and Taipan.
Might take you up on your offer to look at your seat Taipan as I'm not far from London in Darford.

I'll PM you laters .

Cheers
Steve

Hmmmm, contacted them a while back, re a recovering on a front and rear and a resculpture on a seperate seat.
Got a call 15 mins after the appointment time to say sorry van trouble can't make it. A call earlier might have saved a lot of grief.

Not defending the no show, but having seen the van I believe it!!;) :P :D

Bum wraps are really good, replied to my mail and then sent through a full list of their services and a sample of the cloths they use to cover the seats, £38 for a front GS seat, not too bad I thought, not sure if I will be using their services yet, depends how I get on with obtaining a new seat 1st
