Has anyone come up with a means of securing a Schuberth flip to the bike?

Full face lids have a 'D' shackle but my lid has a metal bar locking mechanism.

Don't fancy fitting the luggage or carrying a PacSafe Helmet Bag around with me for a day out.

Cheers P

I use a metal cable lock which I strap the helmet or 2 once they are sat resting on the seat and then lock to the rear luggage carrier. The wire locks are small enough to fit in your pocket ...

there is a chin bar on my Schuberth C3 and my Shoei Neotec did yours fall off?????

As the others say of course there is a chin bar... This is what the wire would feed through and will be stronger than the strap :-)

I made a little T shaped tab out of Stainless steel sheet. It's got a hole in the narrow end. I push it through the strap behind the buckle and use a long padlock to lock it to my rack.

Thanks Al, that sounds the most secure method, so will give it a try. Someone used to make an insertable bar that fitted into the micro-ratchet and then locked the lid to the helmot lock on the bike frame but I'm assuming they are no longer in business

All rather confusing this, a bit of a non problem really - just use a cheap bicycle lock through the chin bar with it in the down position and the visor open - did this in France with mine and the girlfriends helmets and it was fine - it will keep the helmet secure enough.

I use one of THESE - which will fit through the Schuberth catch system. Frankly, you could make on easily enough from a bit of scrap metal!
