Just thought I'd pass on a usefull URL....
PORT TEST
Particularly with the increased use of Broadband connections, it's usefull to find out if your system is vulnerable.......I run this from time to time and thanks to Zonealarm Pro, a Belkin router hard firewall and a bit of common sense I've always come up clean, even though I run IM and ICQ all the time.
If you haven't seen how open you are to attack, try this site....then get a firewall like Zonealarm (free) or one of the commercial ones like Norton or MCafee.....i get about 50 probes an hour on my NTL cable conn ...most are probably innocent but hackers do target the IP's of cable/ADSL isp's because there's a high probability that the connection will be on permanently and will have a fixed address.
