I've noticed my indicators seem to cancel themselves sometimes. But I can't figure out when it does it and when it doesn't (except that they cancel when I don't want them to and don't when I do).
Bike is a 2005 R1200GS.
Riding down a road at a steady 60; hit either indicator, it goes off after 15 flashes (best tried when alone on road).
Overtaking a line of traffic, I sometimes like to indicate right when I'm doing this, but after a short while the indicator cancels itself again.
But when I'm actually turning, it never goes off no matter how long I wait.
Anyone any ideas if they're supposed to cancel, or is this a fault? Either way it doesn't seem to work properly, unless I'm missing something. I can understand them going off if you're doing a steady cruise, but they should also go off when you're executing a turn. Really, they shouldn't go off at all - that should be my decision.
