Self Catering in Kefalonia

Can anyone recommend me an area on the island that has the following please.

Beach
Harbour
Tavernas
Small Villa for self catering

I don't really want to stay in an apartment block, so a private villa would be ideal.

If anone has any recommendations of an area of an isalnd i would be keen to hear about it please.

Sami has a harbour and most of the facilities you are looking for, if you are somewhat more "affluent" you could try Fiskardo, there are normally some apartments / Villas there, it is stunning but more expensive.

Girlfriend and I stayed in one of these last year, fabulous place, just outside a town with tavernas and harbour, but quiet and out of the way for sunbathing and chilling. Well recommended.

I can highly recommend this place http://www.thomascook.com/destinations/greece/kefalonia/skala/apollo-apartments/ We are going here later in the year and it will be the third year in a row, Its not a private villa but it is outside town so very quite and laid back only about a dozen apartments, set on two sides of the pool with breath taking views out over the sea. I would recommend hiring a car to explore the island, We pick one up from the airport on arrival from these guys http://www.cbr-rentacar.com/kefalonia-car-rental.html It works out a lot cheaper hiring in advance and you don't spend hours on the coach dropping everyone else off

Went there many years ago and can reccomend Fiscardo as a good place to stay
