Please help chaps.

I need a decent well priced self-inflating mat for the trip North. The very thin stuff will be a problem for 3 months of constant use.

again the stuff exceptionally pricey here in the South.....

what can you recommend that won't break the bank, be comfy and still fit on the bike across the panniers?

sports direct have a sale on karrimor gear, got a £70 pound mat for £20 pound looks good but not used it yet . hope this helps

mat

I also purchased a karrimor self inflating mat from soccer sports £25
This is for the wife smaller than my normal foam mats
the wife says much more comfortable worth a try

Changed from blow up to self inflating with a couple of 65mm Millets matressses. About £30 each and used for a week in Cumbria so far.

Initially they did not feel so comfortable as the old blow up matresses but we both slept much better on them.

why not go for the big inflatable mattress :nenau they really don't take up that much room and are super comfy :thumb2

:) I agree about the comfy issue - however tied to a bike through Africa for 3 months on my way to the UK... it's sure to fail somewhere on the way. The weight is the issue here I think.

Thanks for the suggestion though!
