Sending an email to a fax

I would like to do some business with a chap in the USA but he doesn't display his email address on his website but there is a fax number.

I'm off work for a few weeks & have no wish to go into the office to use the company machine. I'm bound to get caught with "Ah as you're here could you just solve this problem" type of thing, etc.

Does anyone know of some (preferrable free) software solution that allows me to send a few emails to a fax machine without committing to some sort of contract?

If you have a Fax modem, the "send a fax" software built in to Windows should be sufficient.

Good idea but since being on broadband I have no idea how to do this with a broadband modem - if it's possible

Ah, that might just do it - although on first glance it appears that I need a Fax number to send. Thanks for the link. I'll give it a go!
