Hello all,

I thought I’d be brave tonight (with my mechanical skills, changing a light bulb is hard work  ) and remove my rear brake caliper to check the state of pad wear. Everything went well; the pads have still got some life left on them. I managed to reverse the procedure without a hitch.
What I wanted to ask, do I have to check the ABS sensor gap? If so, where is it located? (I have the BMW calipers and not the brembo ones)
All help is much appreciated.

Beemer Bob.
I assume that your 1150 is pretty much the same as my 1100. Here's a pic for you to compare.

You only need check the ABS gap if the wheel [or the sensor I suppose]has been removed. The sensor is not part of the caliper, the sensor is just above the ABS gap sticker

Caliper to rear wheel drive torque is 40Nm

Russ.
