The date was changed because of our visitor. Longdog appears to be the only one who has commited to attending.
Is there anybody else going if not we'll cancel?

Hi PW, thanks for the thought about 'phoning me. I just checked the forum and I've obviously seen it now. Damn shame!
Well, I got to ride my bike today for the first time since my (non-motorcycling) accident on May 19th. and it was brilliant! I've got to say that using the front brake without having (much) of a right thumb is interesting, and braking while blipping the throttle to down-change is a technique I haven't quite mastered yet! But. hey! I did 25 miles and had a ball! Roll on tomorrow, (after my hospital visit!)!
