Just done a 400 miler today, ass was sore after 250 miles :blast

Is the sergent seat worth the money, can anyone who's got one give us a report or reccomendation etc

Rider seat yes- very good.

Pillion got a big NOOOOO from my wife.

They put a storage space underneath the pillion seat and she (the original princess & the pea - Grimm Bros Fairy tales) could feel every thing in the world that could make it uncomfortable. Maybe she was right, Ok she was right. :blast

I have just fitted a Sargent low seat. It's a big improvement on the stock seat. I can get my feet down easier and its a lot more comfortable, but at £280 (front only) its not cheap and IMO isn't as well made as the Corbin I had on my last 1200 quack. It would be worth trying a couple of different options out first if you can.

Ive got a Corbin, so much better, no aches after a 360 mile blast,, standard seat not great in my mind

I bought one s/h of this site and re-sold it on here when I sold my 1200....still have my 1150 though with the Sargent seats.:aidan

I find them very comfy but it's not a one seat suits all. Ask around and see if you can borrow one before laying out so much dosh, or try and get a second hand one (I know they are rare but I did it twice:D) which you can recoup all or most of your money on if you don't get on.

Another vote in favour here, takes a while to bed in, but then is very comfy.

anyone got a photo of one fitted please? preferably black pin stripe version and OE rear seat

It 'looks' fine and it's bloody comfortable.

The alternative is leaving your bike just as the bods at BuMW designed it and you maybe (who can tell) getting a sore arse.

Live dangerously....take the chance...buy it....you can always sell it

PS It's not quite the pic you want but here's mine. Apologies if it doesn't look nice:

thanks one and all, I have just ordered one from NN, thanks for your help :beerjug::beerjug:

I could have told you that. Sargent seats are made to order. Mine took a good month or so but it was well worth the wait. Most of the time they tend to overdo the estimated time and it often arrives sooner. Unlike touratech (sometimes).

So I have orderd a touratech seat now, in stock delivered tommorow.

Really? Tomorrow? :augie
