Sertaco Alarm Problem

Hi. Has anyone had problems trying to re-program a BMW factory fitted alarm on a G650GS Sertaco? I've tried many different ways but can't get it into program mode. It currently automatically re-arms which is driving me mad. I have the instruction book and followed it to the letter and various other senarios from online posts.

I had the same problem as it came with Auto selfset after 15 seconds after switchin off ignition.
I did also read the manual and first time I tried it dint work. The second time I took me time with the remote clicked so many times within so many seconds and its been OK since. Its on when I want and although I am not chuffed about a bike with an alarm. Up to now (11k) its OK
Good Luck and try again with a cuppa tea in yer other hand in stead of that hammer !!

Hi Mick

It worked!

Don't know why but after disconnecting the battery to fit an additional power socket, I'd thought I'd give it another go and it worked straight away.
