Test rode a Sertao yesterday whilst my GSA was in for servicing, did 166 miles including the road to Applecross and much of the surrounding highland roads. A good mix of main and rough single track roads and twisty mountain bends. Was very impressed with it, much quicker than I imagined it to be for a single, it is effortless to ride handles well and is very light weight. It will cruise at 70-80 no problem, but there does seem to be a bit of a lag in the throttle, when you open it in the cruise there seems to be a slight delay before anything happens? At 6' 2" it was a little cramped with the pegs feeling quite high up, but a minor niggle. The switch gear looks and feels cheap and nasty, as does some of the wiring, with one wire attached to the throttle that twists back and forth with it, apparently for the heated grips. When I refilled it, I had only used 9lts in 166 miles so fuel economy is excellent and I was not being gentle on it.

Long story short, I pick up a new one in a few weeks!

Great, Thanks for the mini review:thumb2

Would love to take agood spin on one of these, It would be the one bike I could be tempted to change the Xcountry for.

Photos when you get it please:D

If you can cope with an extra bit of height to the ground the seat of a f650gs Dakar fits the G and gives more room between seat and pegs. I use one on wifes G when I borrow it.
