The title says it all really.

On my 1150 RT this morning going into work on the M25, I'm in 5th and as the traffic slows I change down to 4th and then attempt to drop down to 3rd, nothing

I cannot change down at all but everything else seems OK. I eventually work my way over to the hard shoulder trying not to stall it as the traffic is virtually at a stop now.

I tried to move up and down the box on the hard shoulder but it is stuck in 4th:(

I get recovered by Carol Nash (AXA bike recovery, very good:thumb ) to Brian Giles in Pembury. I called him earlier and even though he is having a day off he says to bring it in.

Get to Brian and he checks it over, however, now all is well:confused:

I take it for a spin to get it hot and then he takes it out, and finds the fault.
The gear change bush has seized so the lever is stuck, but only when it gets hot:blast

Brian strips the gear change down and fixes the problem, all is well.

I tell Brian I'll nip to Tesco to get some cash, no problem he says have it on me, call it a late Christmas present:bow

Well what more can be said, try and get diagnosis and and hours free labour from a main dealer or would they have found something more costly:augie

Top bloke, as always:thumb
