Servicing advice required

Can anyone tell me what servicing I am required to have done at a dealer to maintain my warranty.

I have an 02 GS 10 mths old. The 6000mile service was completed by SPC just before I bought it.

The reason I am asking is that I know an ex-police BMW mechanic who can do the job at a fraction of the price.

Any help would be appreciated.

I'd send an email or snail mail to BMW UK, so that you have a 'hard copy' answer. I believe that the bike 'has to be serviced in accordance with BMW's Service Schedule' or something along those lines. In other words, if you can show that a competent mechanic serviced it using BMW parts in accordance with the schedule, you ougt to be OK. Important to get it right & in writing, though....
