SETTING HOME WAYPOINT 2610

I have just taken reciept of my first sat nav, the 2610 and i am trying to set my home waypoint. I have followed the instructions in the book, i.e. press and hold down the menu key but it is not showing the set home waypoint icon as stated in the book................help please.

Set up home in mapsource as a waypoint, then dowload it to the 2610, easy peasy.

Are you doing it inside the house? If so you probably haven't got a signal from the relevant satellites. Take the unit outside and ensure you have a good signal, then try to set a home waypoint.
