i guess this question is mainly aimed at rich gs, as he is the autocom guru!! but anybody else please help!!!!
i have a set of motorola gp340 professional radios, which i hope to use with my 300 kit for bike to bike comms. my question is, what settings do i need to have programmed into my radios, for the 300 kit to work with it? ie do i just need to activate the vox setting, or is there anything else i need to be aware of.
what output comes from the autocom, is it just audio, or is there some sort of "priming tone" to tell the radios to transmit.
also, can autocom make up a cable to suit my needs, if i can get a diagram, from motorola showing the connections on the radio.. and some connectors ending in bare wires.

i already have these adapters (part A)

but they dont look proffessional enough.
i'd prefer the cable to end like this

any help is much appreciated,
cheers guys

The VOX setting you will not need to touch as the VOX on your Super Pro will control the transmissions etc.

Cable wise if you are running the Motorola adaptor that changes the connections over to a twin pin socket a Part 1437 £30 will get you connected.

i think i'll buy a bog standard motorola hands free (earpiece and mic) which has the moulded adapter on it. then get somebody to splice your cable into my plug unit, so i dont have to use the big bulky adapter piece...

anybody good with a soldering iron?

the cable i need, is it just a 3.5mm 4 connection jack, to a twin 2.5 and 3.5 motorola plug?
