Sharing routes/tracks via Google Earth

I've just discovered I can view my tracks & routes on Google Earth so you can imagine how excited I am right now.

I remember seeing something about being able to save & share these routes without just showing a photo. Can't see how to save a file on Google Earth & share it, was it a Garmin thing?

Anyone help me out with some more info?
